Teaching & Mentoring Students

On two separate occasions we enjoyed hosting local student groups. The first visit was eighteen curious and eager middle schoolers from Boulder’s Watershed School and the second visit was two dozen high schoolers from Boulder High School. Each group visited Mosaic for a morning of learning and discussing professionalism specifically in the fields of architecture, interior design, and running a business. With an introduction and self-storytelling, Mosaic’s principal Jane Snyder kicked off the event with her journey and musings of how Mosaic runs as smoothly and successfully as it does. The large classes split up into three groups while junior and senior architects presented their current projects, explained what working in a design firm is like (both challenges and joys), and gave detailed tours of our projects in our virtual-reality goggles -- of course, cookies were included too! The event was a hit, and we look forward to helping more young people start their journeys of career discovery and personal growth.
