The clients of this home envisioned a transformation that blended modern flair with their own unique artistic touch, infusing the space with high-end materials and creativity. A new addition was thoughtfully designed to expand the entry, powder room, and mudroom, while sleek metal cladding was introduced to complement the existing stone and stucco. Inside, the open layout had areas that seemed to compete for attention due to overlapping sightlines, so the living room ceiling was lowered, and the fireplace was widened to create a more intimate atmosphere with improved acoustics. A talented plaster artist worked her magic, covering the new fireplace with 15 feet of vertical raked plaster. The standard metal stair railing was replaced with a custom mesh design, expertly fabricated and patinaed by a skilled metalsmith, who also crafted unique dining shelves and a new hood enclosure. The kitchen and primary bath were completely reimagined, with serene, neutral tones featuring white oak cabinetry, fresh tile, and a striking backlit Cristallo quartzite waterfall island, creating a peaceful and luxurious vibe.
